Varicose vein disease can appear in different veins and severity levels. The common clinical groups are spider veins (telangiectasia), reticular varicose veins and truncal saphenous varicose veins.

The type is determined according to symptoms, cosmetic expectations and Doppler ultrasound findings. Treatment is individualized for each patient based on this classification.
